How to install the Cooby Chrome Extension
The Cooby Chrome Extension adds Cooby's features directly into WhatsApp Web. It also syncs your WhatsApp conversations to your CRM while WhatsApp Web is open. This guide shows you how to download it, install it and get it ready to use.

Before you start
- Use Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser on a computer. The extension doesn’t work on mobile or in browsers that aren’t based on Chromium, such as Safari or Firefox.
- Make sure you can log in to WhatsApp Web with the number you want to use with Cooby.
- If your team already has a Cooby Workspace, ask your admin to invite you first. Learn more in Invite team members.
Step 1: Download the extension
Open the Cooby page on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
Step 2: Confirm the installation
- Chrome will ask you to confirm. Click Add extension.
- Once it's installed, you'll see the Cooby icon in your browser toolbar. To keep it easy to find, click the puzzle icon and pin Cooby.
Step 3: Open WhatsApp Web
Go to web.whatsapp.com and scan the QR code with your phone to log in. If WhatsApp Web was already open, refresh the page so Cooby loads.
Step 4: Log in to Cooby
When Cooby loads, you’ll see the Cooby toolbar at the top of WhatsApp Web. Click Log in in the top right corner.

Step 5: Connect your CRM
If your Workspace hasn't connected a CRM yet, your admin can do it from the Integration Center.

Tips for using the extension
- Use one WhatsApp number with one Cooby account. Learn more in Can I use Cooby on multiple devices or WhatsApp numbers?
- Messages only sync while WhatsApp Web is open in Chrome. If you need syncing without a browser, use Cloud Sync or the WhatsApp Business API.
