Don’t worry! Cooby has listed the common errors you might encounter when connecting to Salesforce and provided solutions for each. Follow our instructions below.

Cooby not installed in Salesforce

Error Message: You are unable to access the Salesforce integration. Please contact your team admin to ensure that Cooby has been installed in your org from the Salesforce AppExchange.

If you’ve already authorized Cooby to access your Salesforce but are still receiving this error message, it means your Salesforce organization has not installed Cooby.

If you are a workspace admin, please go to the Salesforce AppExchange page and install Cooby into your Salesforce organization.

If you are a workspace member, you will need to contact your workspace admin to grant you the necessary permissions.

No Cooby Admin or Cooby Member permission

Error Message: You are unable to access the Salesforce integration. Please contact your team admin to ensure that you have been assigned one of the following permission sets in Salesforce: Cooby Admin or Cooby Member.

If you received this message in your WhatsApp Web side panel, it means your Cooby Admin or Cooby Member permission has not been enabled.

Connect to Salesforce

From the integration center of your Cooby Workspace. Click on Salesforce.

Press Admin setup then click Connect to Salesforce

| Click Connect to Salesforce Sandbox if you want to test Cooby in the Sandbox environment before officially applying it. You can also reconnect to the production version by disconnecting from your sandbox version afterward.

Install Cooby in Salesforce from AppExchange

Click Install Cooby to be directed to the AppExchange page.

Click Get It Now.

Start message syncing (For admin & member use)

Before you start syncing messages to Salesforce, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

You have accepted the Cooby invitation sent by your Workspace admin. Learn more about how to accept the invitation
You have installed the Cooby extension on your WhatsApp Web.
You have a Salesforce account.
Your Salesforce system administrator has assigned you the Cooby member permission set and the required Cooby fields permission set.

If you are missing any of the above requirements, you won’t be able to sync your WhatsApp messages to Salesforce. Please contact your admin for assistance in granting the necessary permissions.

I. Start WhatsApp Message Syncing

Grant sync access to Cooby

Go to your WhatsApp Web, refresh the page, and you will see the Salesforce icon on the Cooby nav bar as well as the Salesforce right-side panel. Click Authorize.
Once authorized, manually check this step to mark it as done!

Auto-link contacts

Click on a WhatsApp contact. If a phone number matches one of your Salesforce contacts, a contact card will be displayed on your WhatsApp Web side panel.
