Differing from sharing a conversation, live chat allows you to share an ongoing message with others. As long as you don't stop sharing, anyone with the share link can continue viewing the conversation between you and your contact.
How to create a live chat
Choose the contact with whom you want to share the conversation.
Click
recording iconnext to this contact
Choose the starting point of the conversation that you want to share.
Click
Share
You can edit the topic and description, then click
Create share link.
You can select
Share via WhatsAppor🔗 Copy share linkTo share via WhatsApp, it will pop up your WhatsApp contact list. Select and send it out.
To copy the share link, you have the link and send it out anywhere.
The live chat function is still in beta, and each user has a maximum of 5 on-live chats at a time. If you need more quota, please contact Cooby Support via Email.
How live chat looks like
You can click the recording icon and then select Open shared chats. This will redirect you to another page:
Here, you can copy the link again for sharing.
If you've shared it with someone who hasn't installed Cooby before, they can click
Install Cooby to create live chatsto download Cooby and access live chats.On the left side, you'll find details about this live chat, including the title, shared by whom, any available summary, the last updated time, view counts, and the option to stop sharing.
Clicking the
three-lined iconin the upper-left corner allows you to review all shared chats, including recently shared chats with you.
How to stop sharing
You can click the recording icon and then select Stop sharing. Turning off live chat means users with the link won't see new messages. When you turn it back on, a new link will be generated.
