# Invite and manage team members

Invite your teammates to your Cooby workspace so you can work on your team's WhatsApp conversations together. This guide also covers how to resend or revoke an invitation, edit a member's display name, and remove a member.

# Invite a team member
1. Go to your [member page](https://app.cooby.co/settings/members)

2. Click on **Invite members**

3. Input the team member's email address or search for a member within your Google Workspace or HubSpot.

4. Select the user's role

5. From there, click on **Send invite** and team members would receive an invitation email that they would have to accept. Once the invitation has been accepted, the team member should already be joined in your Cooby.

# Resend an invitation
Invitations expire after 14 days. If an invitation has expired or your teammate can't find the email, resend it.
1. Go to the [Members](https://app.cooby.co/settings/members) page.
2. Find the member marked **Invited**.
3. Click the **⋯** icon next to them.
4. Select **Resend invite**.

# Revoke an invitation
To cancel an invitation before your teammate accepts it, follow the same steps and select **Remove** instead. The invitation is canceled and can no longer be used to join your workspace.

# Edit a member's display name
Workspace admins can correct a teammate's name, for example when a shared email address is handed over to someone new.
1. Go to the [Members](https://app.cooby.co/settings/members) page.
2. Click the pencil icon next to the member's name.

3. Type the new name and press **Enter** to save.

Good to know
* Only admins can edit another member's name. Members can change their own name in **Profile**.
* A name can't be empty and can be up to 128 characters.
* The new name shows in every Cooby workspace the member belongs to.
* WhatsApp messages already synced to HubSpot or Salesforce keep the name they were synced with, and your CRM may keep showing the previous name. Email us at <support@cooby.co> if it needs updating.

# Remove a team member
Workspace admins can remove a member from the workspace. The member is not notified.
1. Go to the [Members](https://app.cooby.co/settings/members) page.
2. Find the member you want to remove.
3. Click the **⋯** icon next to them.
4. Select **Remove**.

When you remove a member, their contacts and settings, such as tabs and templates, are deleted with their account. Messages already synced to your CRM stay in your CRM.

# Common problems
* **The invitation expired.** Resend the invitation from the Members page.
* **You can't invite more members.** Your plan may have reached its seat limit. See [exceeding seat limitations](https://help.cooby.co/en/article/exceed-seat-limitations-f0nrau/).
* **Your teammate didn't get the email.** Ask them to check their spam folder, then resend the invitation.
