# Grant access to chats

The following is a guide for how to grant Cooby access to your WhatsApp chats so that Cooby can help you sync chats to HubSpot.

* If you have not [installed Cooby in your HubSpot](https://cooby.crisp.help/en/article/install-cooby-on-hubspot-1qbjwfh/) account, please do so before continuing this guide.

On your WhatsApp Web, click on the HubSpot icon in the top nav. You should see a request for auto-sync permission.

This is a notice that you syncing settings are currently set to Auto-Sync.

When you click `Accept`, you should see a popup displayed.

This is a one-time permission request for Cooby to be able to read your WhatsApp messages.

Once you click `Accept`, Cooby will begin linking your contacts and syncing your messages to HubSpot.

If you click `Decline`, Cooby will not be able to read your messages and thus will not be able to sync your messages to HubSpot.
